Nestled in North Yorkshire, lies a photography retreat that's worth discovering. Our aim is to create a space where creativity and inspiration thrive, where you'll have the opportunity to learn from the world's best photographers, visual artists and a specialist Business Coach. But more than that, you'll connect with like-minded individuals, sharing stories and experiences that fuel your passion for photography.
We believe in taking a deeper look at the artist, exploring their influences & motivations, and how they balance their work and family life. We'll also explore topics beyond technical skills, such as the artist perspective, creative process and personal growth.
Our schedule is simple, giving you structured time for talks & shoots but also plenty of time for the small moments in-between. We'll share meals, engage in conversations, and create an environment that fosters growth and learning. And if you need some time away, you can unwind in the hot tubs, make use of the amazing Workshop or take a walk in North Yorkshire.

Belle Art Photography
Becy started Belle Art Photography in 2016 as a destination wedding photographer before niching into Scottish elopements in 2019 and then slowly moving back into the realms of fine art portraiture from her home on Skye. Working in medium format photography, 16mm and super 8 film, Becy is interested in creating art for her clients. A slow and intimate approach to her work inspired by the dramatic landscapes and light of the Scottish highlands and also the people she photographs.

Marta Ilardo Photography
Marta is based in London, but loves travelling, so she also shoots worldwide (often taking her family along with her). With her camera, Marta is on a mission to tell stories, with sensitivity and nuance and a particular hunger for understanding human emotions. Marta draws her inspiration from movies and art and she thrives when she has creative freedom.
Marta did her MA in Photography at the London College of Communication and she has been named one of the best of Europe by the Wed.
Daryl Walker
A commercial photographer and videographer from Northumberland. Daryl is passionate about the environment and understands we all have a role in ensuring the world remains unspoiled for future generations. Using his influence, he expresses this passion throughout his art and selected clients who embody his ethos.
Daryl has worked several brands including Adventure and Outdoor specialists Columbia, The North Face and 66 North. Plus tourism board projects such as Visit Faroe Islands and Visit Madeira.
He lives by one motto...
"Adventure is out there, let us go find it!"

HOW DO YOU GET TO KIP & NOOK?
In addition to its picturesque setting, Kip & Nook is also conveniently located for easy access just outside of Darlington. If you're traveling by car, it's just off the A1, making it a breeze to reach from nearby cities such as Leeds or Newcastle. If you're coming by train, the nearest station is Darlington, which is just a short 10-minute taxi ride away. We can even offer collection & drop off’s from Darlington station, ask for more info. If you are flying in, the closest airports are Newcastle, Teeside and Manchester, all easy accessible via train.
HOW DO YOU BOOK?
To ensure that all our guests have an equal chance of securing their tickets, we allocate them on a first come first serve basis. Once you have decided to book, we will ask you to sign an online contract and pay 50% of the total amount upfront. The remaining balance will be due 8 weeks before the event. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive all the final event details so that you can prepare accordingly. If you have any further questions or would like more information about our booking process, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
WHAT DOES A SPEAKER PASS INCLUDE?
The speaker pass is an excellent choice. With the speaker pass, you'll still receive some of the same benefits that come with a retreat ticket, such as access to all the talks and shoots, as well as lunch and dinner both days, plus a campfire cocktail & business coaching. However, the availability for the speaker pass is limited, as priority will be given to those purchasing accommodation tickets. If you're interested, please enquire about availability soon.
